Why Blipday was created
"Like most people, I found myself spending far too much time searching for things to do — and not enough time actually doing them.
Whether I was planning a family day out, organising a date night, meeting friends, looking for something different nearby, or visiting somewhere new and not knowing what there was to do, I found myself constantly jumping between Google searches, social media, event listings, blogs, and maps. Finding something to do often took longer than the activity itself.
The more I looked, the more I realised the information was scattered everywhere. There was no single place that could instantly show me what was happening nearby based on what I felt like doing in that moment. Sometimes I wanted to discover a hidden local event, sometimes a great place to eat, and other times I simply wanted to find something new that I hadn't heard about before.
That frustration led to a simple question:
Why is discovering things to do — and finding people to do them with — still so hard?
Life is short, and our free time is valuable. We shouldn't have to spend hours searching through endless websites just to find something enjoyable.
So I created Blipday.
